ISI chief reaches Turkey, made covert visit to France‎

ISLAMABAD: Inter Service Intelligence Chief Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha has reached Turkey on his way from US while he also made a secret visit to France.
Defence sources told Online that on his way from US ISI Chief made a stopover in Turkey where he met President Asif Ali Zardari and briefed him on his talks with US Intel CIA chief Leon Panetta regarding national security and drone attacks. 

CIA Director Leon Panetta and the ISI chief Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha had a four-hour long meeting on Monday at the agency`s headquarters at Langley during which Both sides agreed also to work closely “on our common fight against terrorist networks that threaten both countries”.

Sources told that during his stay in Turkey the DG ISI would also meet with his Turkish counterpart and would hold talks on promoting Pak-Turkey intelligence cooperation and situation in Afghanistan. Sources further said that after his US visit the ISI Chief made an unscheduled secret visit to France where he met with French defence and senior army officials. The talks focused in intelligence operations and movement of terrorists. 

According to sources DG ISI had apprised the Chief of Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani of details of his visits.
