ISI Helped France Smash RAW-Led Terror Network

LAHORE – French counter-terrorism authorities, acting on an intelligence tip-off provided by Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), have successfully smashed a terrorist network headed by an Indian national.
Well-informed sources said here on Thursday that the French Police arrested the gang leader Muhammad Niaz Abdul Rasheed, a 33-year-old Indian national from Madurai, from Charles de Gaulle Airport on May 10, this year as he returned from a recruiting trip to Algeria. Six of his accomplices were also apprehended from various French cities concurrently.
The first group comprising two French nationals, sent by the French Popular Front (FPF), was on their way to Afghanistan when Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) personnel captured them during a successful raid in January this year from Lahore.

ISLAMABAD: Inter Service Intelligence Chief Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha has reached Turkey on his way from US while he also made a secret visit to France.
Defence sources told Online that on his way from US ISI Chief made a stopover in Turkey where he met President Asif Ali Zardari and briefed him on his talks with US Intel CIA chief Leon Panetta regarding national security and drone attacks.

Sarkozy And The Revived Neocon War Agenda

Sarkozy could also spark military intervention in Iran. With France advocating such intervention, which could also attract some of Iran's enemies in the Arab League, it might be difficult for Obama to resist, given the precedent set in Libya, and especially since the neocons and some liberal interventionists will be pushing him in that direction.


French President Nicolas Sarkozy not only took the lead in bringing about the military attack on Libya but now has stated that all rulers face Libya-style intervention if they violently suppress anti-government protesters. He focused on Arab rulers but did not exclude others.
